Advanced Solar Photonics Introduces Laser Comb

Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP), a developer of equipment for solar panel processing, thin-film solar cells and commercial solar equipment, has released the Laser Comb, a thin-film scribing machine. The Laser Comb is ideal for scribing thin-film panels and has been specifically designed to increase speed and throughput, the company says.

The machine is equipped with a motion system that allows the glass to be passed under the multiple beams used to scribe the panel. The Laser Comb generates a plurality of scribe lines - up to 120 in a single pass - that roll through thin-film layers.
