ASP to Debut Smart Module Technology at Solar Power International in Dallas October 17-21
PV Solar Manufacturer to Feature “Texas-Sized” 400 Watt Frameless Glass-to Glass Smart Modules
Lake Mary, FL., September 15, 2011 – Advanced Solar Photonics, LLC (ASP), a leading manufacturer of crystalline photovoltaic modules and racking systems for utility, commercial, and residential applications, today announced that it will be exhibiting its Smart Module™ at Solar Power International on October 17-21, 2011 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
The Smart Module™ is the next generation of PV solar designed for the Smart Grid. Smart Module™ technology enhances the energy harvest of each module by delivering higher output and overcomes the limitations of existing solar power generating solutions with fire safety and energy loss. Smart Modules feature a smart junction box that enables each module to produce the maximum available energy.
The ASP 400 GSM Smart Module™ features:
- Engineering. Glass-to-Glass architecture provides dual-sided protection of wafer materials from extreme weather conditions. Thinner glass ensures thermal stability, resistance to impact, and elimination of microfractures.
- Design. Frameless construction provides compact packaging and facilitated transportation while requiring less labor, connections and materials. Barrier seal creates a buffer atmosphere to block moisture and control pressure.
- Finance. Long-term reliability, predictability and an increased ROI for utility-scale projects. The Smart Module™ from Advanced Solar Photonics is the bankable choice for utility companies, project developers, and investors.
Company executives and product experts will be available at the show to discuss the latest developments in smart module technology and its application to utility-scale projects. The company will be debuting its new “Texas-sized” 400 Watt frameless glass-to-glass Smart Module™.
Also on display will be the complete ASP line of high-efficiency modules including the popular BlackStar™ series’ 400 Watt monocrystalline PV solar module. ASP will be part of the BlueChip Energy exhibit in Hall D, Booth #5320 – a 600 square foot peninsula corner space.
Solar Power International (SPI) is North America’s largest, most comprehensive solar power trade show and conference. This annual, business-to-business event was the first of its kind in North America. Nearly 24,000 professionals from 125 countries attend.
Advanced Solar Photonics, LLC (ASP), a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueChip Energy, LLC, is a manufacturing and research and development center for crystalline silicon solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for utility, commercial and residential applications. Based on the latest cell efficiency, light transmission, and encapsulation technologies, ASP focuses on high-efficiency, state-of-the-art solar PV modules ranging from 200 Watts to 400 Watts. ASP is the one of the largest producers of crystalline silicon PV modules in the United States and is one of the few producers in the U.S. of Buy American Act compliant products suitable for government, military and municipal projects and meeting the requirements of Section 1605 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
