Supply Chain Production Planner/Materials Manager

Responsibilities:

Set the strategy and driving performance on all aspects of ASP’s Silicon spend; this includes sourcing strategy and negotiations on all silicon materials (poly, ingot and wafer). In this position, you will be responsible for locating, introducing and maintaining Strategic Suppliers. Creating strong relationships will be a key role for this position. Direct Senior Management contact will be required (internally and externally).

  • Identify and drive overall strategy for all silicon materials required by ASP
  • Drive continuous improvement on key supply chain metrics: cost, terms and conditions, inventory velocity and demand pull/supplier managed inventory
  • Train and develop employees on the silicon commodity team.
  • Have superior communication skills to handle all facets of strong supplier negotiations and relationships.
  • Function as team member with internal customers and other matrix managers
  • Communicate effectively with all management levels. (Internal and external).
  • Create, review and understand work processes and purchase specifications.
  • Exercise business acumen to analyze and manage the financial impact of various alternatives.
  • Monitor and report progress. Suggest and implement corrective measures to ensure success in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and make decisions regarding formatting of work. Work closely with senior management.
  • Visit and conduct (formal and informal) audits of Strategic Suppliers.
  • Optimize the audit process. Train and educate in the ASP business process.
  • Implement NPI sourcing strategy for silicon commodities.
  • Implement STARS, Supplier Scorecard Process with corresponding share awards for Strategic Suppliers.
  • High demand for presentations.

Job Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Procurement/logistics, materials, business or related discipline. (MBA,MS/MA preferred).
  • 10+ years experience as a Supply Chain/Materials professional with management experience
  • Experience managing silicon commodity a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven, results-oriented track record.
  • Delivers on commitments
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and make decisions regarding formatting of work.
  • System/Computer Experience required. MS Office/Word/PowerPt/Excel.
  • Oracle experience a plus.
  • Detail-orientated.
  • Demonstrate associative logic skills.
  • Active understanding of the silicon supply base and supply chain
  • Ability to work independently at all levels.
