ASP is developing the latest Smart Module™ Technology

Our latest product design is a high power frameless glass to glass photovoltaic (PV) module that is optimized for use in utility grade applications.

The frameless modules are designed to withstand weather extremes such as snow, hail, and wind while being more cost effective than traditional framed modules.

Smart Module™ Technology overcomes all energy losses generating up to 15% more energy while resolving other conventional solar PV system drawbacks.

Additional benefits include:

  • Module level optimization through embedded DC/DC module controller with integrated Junction Box.
  • Fixed voltage signal from inverter tunes up individual modules, virtually eliminating need for strict string calculation and removing limitations for real life installations.
  • Module level monitoring for seamless detection of defective or under performing modules in combination with monitoring alerts and maintenance needs.
  • Enhanced safety solution through solar system shut off from the fire suppression system or remotely by the owner or operational company for maintenance or any other needs.

These new modules inherited the best optical properties and design from flat panel display technology.  They have a robust glass-to-glass laminate design that will stand up to climate extremes of temperature, humidity, UV, and weathering. The specially selected thin cover glass has optimal optical qualities to transmit the majority of sunlight with minimized losses in the glass.

Bi-facial crystalline semiconductor technology performs well in high temperature, direct, diffused, and low light situations. It dramatically increases the energy harvesting over the lifetime of a solar project, driving the cost of energy production down and generating  millions of incremental dollars for a solar farm.

Double glass design increasing the strength of the solar module by the factor of 2.5 – 3.0, and reaches the strength level of 847Kg/M2.

These modules are suited for both rooftop and ground mounted applications, but the best performance is achieved in utility scale solar farm projects.

ASP PV modules are manufactured on highly automated continuous flow lines to achieve high yields while minimizing manufacturing costs.

These new modules are undergoing rigorous safety and reliability testing to achieve the major certifications in safety, performance, mechanical and wind load parameters.
